and literary inspiration, Corson set out on a journey to Graceland and the
American heartland. Days 1 and 2: Sam's Town Casino, Tunica, Mississippi,
to attend the Wayne Newton show. Days 3-5: the Heartbreak Hotel in Memphis
(24 hr Elvis movies) and the full Graceland tour package. Day 6: Tupelo,
Mississippi, site of Elvis's birthplace, then on to Nashville, Tennessee,
via the historic Nachez Trace. Days 7-8: Nashville
and performances at the Grand Ol' Opry and the Ryman Theatre. Days 8-9:
Cave City, Kentucky, and a half-day Mammoth Cave tour including box lunches
in the Snowball Dining Room. |
